Cyst Removal
Targeted Removal of Benign Lesions in the Oral Cavity
Cysts in the jaw, mucous membrane, or salivary glands often go unnoticed for a long time because they initially do not cause any symptoms. If left untreated, however, they can increase in size, displace surrounding structures, or cause inflammation. In our Berlin-Friedenau practice, we remove jaw cysts and other benign tissue changes in the oral and maxillofacial area safely and precisely.
The complete removal of a cyst is performed as part of a cystectomy. During this procedure, the cyst is entirely removed to prevent regrowth.
Precise Surgical Procedures on Salivary Glands and Soft Tissue
Cystic changes can also occur in the salivary glands, for example in the form of retention cysts or salivary stones. Benign tumors in the oral mucosa, tongue, or lips can also be removed. With the help of modern 3D imaging, cyst removals in the bony tissue can be precisely planned and performed minimally invasively at IMPLA·VIO – always taking functional and aesthetic aspects into account.
